All the updates are current for both Windows and Office. I have checked for viruses, spyware, adware, etc. The system is a 2.7 Intel cpu with 1 gig RAM. Virus protection is AVG 7.5 Free edition. It doesn't matter whether I open from a document name itself or from the program icon, it will take approximately 45-60 seconds to open the program. I have noticed over the past several days that Microsoft Word is very slow to open.
